It’s been a while since the latest update on the Klinkk blog, where I introduced the Premium Services.
It was quite a good success, with different users purchasing the RSS Feeds automated submission plans.
In this way, you don’t have to worry about submitting your stories to Klinkk each time you update your website.
Plus, the different packages come with social media marketing, with shares on the Klinkk accounts of Twitter, Google+ and Facebook .
This will help you get more traffic to your content, without any efforts.
Klinkk Stats at December 2014
At today, there are 2430 registered users and none of them are spammers.
I personally take care of deleting each account who spam on the platform.
There are around 30 groups you can join to share your knowledge, content and views.
More than 6000 stories submitted, with 1000 of them published on homepage.
Good social signals, with +1750 Google+ and +1650 likes on the Facebook fan page.
There is a great amount of organic traffic to the stories submitted, this one in particular (visited almost than 11,000 times).
Also the Alexa ranking is good, you can check it here.
Overal the community is going great, but during the year there were also some bad times.
Klinkk Migration to a New Server
On August (probably due to huge use of resources or spikes of traffic), I got my shared server account at HostGator suspended few times.
Well, more than “usual”.
All my sites were really slow to load, sometimes even inaccessible for hours, so I decided it was time to move to a new web hosting package.
After consultation with HostGator, I decided to upgrade directly to a dedicated server.
On September then, I moved all my blogs and sites (included Klinkk) to this new server.
For 2/3 weeks everthing went just fine, but during October I hadt to request the server reboot 5-6 times during 10 days, because it went offline (sometimes even for few hours).
The problem was always Klinkk.
Now, I investigated a lot, and I was thinking about high resource usage, or spikes of traffic, or even supposing hacker attacks.
The problem was huge, also because together with Klinkk, also my blogs went down.
This was killing my online activities.
After several chats done with HostGator technicians, the only solution seemed to kill Klinkk (or move it to another sever).
This is where Jane Sheeba helped me so much.
I decided to migrate Klinkk to Best Hosting and Design.
Jane and her staff took care of everything, it was really a peace of mind for me when the transfer was complete and Klinkk was finally online.
They also helped me with some personalizations (cron jobs and other stuff), that otherwise could be impossible to accomplish to me.
I love how they worked and I really feel to recommend their services.
They have different packages, with affordable solutions for any situation.
I honestly still don’t know what was the real issue that caused Klinkk to take down all those times my dedicated server at HostGator.
But I surely know one thing.
All the help I received from Jane Sheeba and Best Hosting and Design.
I really want to thank them for their precious collaboration and kind support.
What a big company like HostGator CAN’T give you is the personal assistance and the human relationship.
Things that I ensure you Best Hosting and Design staff will give you!
If you want to just worry about creating content on your website and market your blog, without taking care of the technical aspects, then I suggest you to try Best Hosting and Design web hosting services.
And you will sleep well during nights! 🙂
